Header Guidelines

The swag valance comes with velcro or pocket for easy installation and removal.
They offer clean, heat-cut hems with no sewn lines.

They are unlined and can be used standalone or as overtreatments to formalize a space.


Tips:
The valance length specified should be the low drop point in the swag's middle.
Jabot length is the double length of swag by default.

The number of pleats/folds on jabots and swags may vary and are up to the tailors’ sole discretion. Our tailors decide these based on a number of factors to get the best look for each piece.

Measurement Guidelines

Width: From 4-6 inches exceed the frame, or use the board/rod width that does not include the 2 ends.

Length: From 4-6 inches above the frame to about 1/5-1/4 top part of the window (usually 25-36 inches)

Depth: The board depth, needs to cover the frame depth or curtain rod depth.

      Ivory Pearl Colour

      The curtains were cut to specification so the issue isn’t the fit. The issue I’m having is the colour - the Ivory has a peach undertone in evening night. It doesn’t come across on the website - I should have picked Dove White.

      Fantastic

      Our shopping experience with Curtarra reminded us of the old good days’ business ethics with dignity and integrity. While my husband prefers to walk into a store, touch and feels the materials before handshake, I am an online shopper since before the internet years through catalog and phone. I generally read the reviews and based on the critics I make my mind. We did the same in shopping at Curtarra for this big ticket.

      Our fabric selection was based on our needs and preferences as well as the online description. “Sabrina in dove color” was a right choice to our new furniture. Put your trust on online description it is phenomenal in finding the right material. You can easily find what you need with the degree of light scattering, transparency, thickness, color of fabric, style of the curtains etc.

      However, during the ordering time, finding the correct measurement is tricky, and you should really get some ideas from the customer service if you want to have what you see on the online pictures. There, the customer service is extremely helpful, just give the windows’ measurement and hear their suggestions. The customer service team represents the definition of care.     How to measure the pleated curtains?

    For pleated curtains, we will suggest the curtain width is 1x of the curtain rod/track, measuring the length from the eyelet ring where the curtain hooks are attached.
    How to understand the width of pleated curtains?

    For pleated curtains, the panel width is the width that pleats are already set. 2X-2.3X fabric fullness in default to create pleats and folds.

    • 2x Fullness for pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleat, and goblet style.
    • 2.3x Fullness for triple pleat and triple tailor pleat style.

    And panel width is from the left pleat end to the right pleat end, instead of the left curtain side hem to the right curtain side hem.
    Should I consider how much fullness is for the pleated header style?

    For pleats are permanently sewn to make, we normally make them in 200-230% fullness. For example, if rod or track length is 100 inches, you may order 2 panels each 50 inches width for pinch pleated, tailor pleated header style. You could also order more width if you prefer more fullness.
    What is stacking width?

    Normally stacking width accounts for 20% of the ordered width. So we would like to remind you that if you want the window opening to show completely when the drapery is opened, please make sure to consider stacking width when you decide on rod length.
    Should I purchase pin hooks for the pleated style?

    The order comes with plastic adjustable pin hooks (for pinch pleat) and metal hooks (for tailor pleat). Plastic adjustable pin hooks allow you to adjust curtain length within 3 inches. You still need to purchase rod rings separately.
    Are there instructions for the number of pleats for pleated curtains?

    Pleats pin hooks quantity: 10 pleats for 50" width; 13 pleats for 72" width; 15 pleats for 84" width; 19 pleats for 100" width; 21 pleats for 110" width, 23 pleats for 120" width, 27 for 150" width. The width and space of the pleats may vary slightly depending on your track or pole length.
